AI fruit dramas exploded on TikTok in early 2026. On 1 March 2026 the account @trombonechef shared an AI video of a strawberry cheating on her strawberry husband with an eggplant; the Daily Dot reported over 26 million views by 23 March (the post has since been removed). In mid-March the account Ai Cinema (@ai.cinema021) launched Fruit Love Island, a dating-show spoof featuring fruit contestants, and AFP recorded 39 million views for one episode before the finale in early April. Spanish-speaking creators made the format their own as frutinovelas, fruit telenovelas.
The format never went away. On 20 October 2026 #fruitstory had 319,941 videos and 24.5 billion views, #aifruit 174,320 videos and #frutinovela 101,842 videos. The same day @ai.kingstar8 shared a 75-second fruit story with Spanish voice-over: a poor strawberry wife fries banana chips, sells them at the market, becomes wealthy and walks a red carpet. It reached 1.7 million views and 102,000 likes within hours. Our Glow up version tells that journey with you as the fruit character.
