The Coldplay kiss cam meme is back as an AI trend. In October 2026 a CapCut template, the Coldplay affair AI filter, started putting people on the round big screen of a night stadium concert: a hug from behind, a shocked look, then one hides the face and the other ducks. Here, AI makes yours from one or two photos.

What the Coldplay Kiss Cam video looks like

Here's the original reel that launched the trend. Your clip is a fresh AI-generated scene based on your photo in this style, not a duplicate of these frames. Each generation is unique.

Original reel by @capcuttingcorner, 6 s
The initial viral clip from @capcuttingcorner (15 October 2026): an AI template places two TV sitcom characters on the concert's circular screen. He embraces her from behind, she covers her face and turns away, he ducks down. Silent, because it uses actual concert audio.

  2. Press Generate

The button displays the credit cost. Seedance 2.5 creates the Coldplay Affair AI scene directly from your photos, with no intermediate image, producing 10 seconds with original sound. No prompt required.

  3. Download or share

Your video renders in minutes as a 9:16 MP4. Save it to your device, share directly from your phone, or access it later in your Library.

Which photo works best?

Two photos (the default): photo 1 shows you, the person standing in front who covers their face. Photo 2 shows the person who embraces from behind and ducks down.

One photo of you two: whoever appears on the left side will be in front, the person on the right will hug from behind.

  • Clear faces with good lighting, from chest up, facing the camera. No sunglasses or hats covering eyes.
  • One person per photo when using two photos, so AI can distinguish each person.
  • Your clothes stay: the final video preserves the outfit from each photo.
  • Use photos of yourself, or friends who gave permission. Adults only: never children, celebrities, coworkers without consent, or strangers.

Where did the Coldplay Kiss Cam trend start?

The Coldplay kiss cam moment happened on 16 July 2025, at a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium near Boston. The kiss cam found a couple hugging in the stands. When they saw themselves on the screen, she covered her face and turned away, he ducked out of sight, and the singer joked from the stage: "Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy." A fan's clip went around the world, and the Coldplay affair became one of the biggest memes of 2025. The two people in it are real people, and this page never shows them, names them or uses that footage.

The Coldplay affair AI filter is the 2026 return of that meme. On 15 October 2026, the UK template account @capcuttingcorner posted the first clip of a CapCut AI template that re-makes the kiss cam with the faces from any photo; it passed 868,000 views in two days. A later clip from the same account reached 2.7 million views on 16 October. By 17 October, how-to videos in several languages were out, and the tag #coldplayaffairfilter was born. On 18 October the four template sounds had 111 videos, all from the last three days.

  1. During a Coldplay show at Gillette Stadium, the kiss cam spots a couple who hide from view, and the singer's comment goes viral through a fan's video. CTV News

  2. The TikTok hashtags #coldplaykisscam and #coldplayaffair emerge. By October 2026 they contain approximately 2,200 videos and 107 to 110 million views each. TikTok

  3. @capcuttingcorner shares the debut video of the Coldplay affair AI template, featuring two TV sitcom characters placed on the screen. It reaches 868,000 views by 17 October. TikTok

  4. The template's most popular video, also from @capcuttingcorner, hits 2.7 million views, while a video from @luciferleechh exceeds 1.4 million. TikTok

  5. Tutorial videos for the Coldplay affair filter launch in multiple languages, and the hashtag #coldplayaffairfilter begins. By 18 October the template's four audio tracks contain 111 videos. TikTok

What happens in the Coldplay kiss cam AI video?

The clip is shot like a concert attendee's phone recording from the audience at a nighttime stadium show. The phone zooms in on a massive circular screen, which displays the two of you in a box seat behind a glass barrier:

TimeWhat happens
0-2.5 sYour friend embraces you from behind and you both move to the beat, smiling, facing away from the camera.
2.5-4 sYou notice yourselves on the jumbotron. You gasp, hide your face and turn around; your friend releases you and ducks behind the barrier.
4-6.5 sYou remain with your back turned while nearby fans laugh and gesture.
6.5-10 sYou glance over your shoulder and face forward again with an awkward smile; your friend reappears, grins and drops down once more.

How Smew AI makes it: your images feed directly into Seedance 2.5, ByteDance's video model, without an intermediate photo step, keeping both faces faithful to your originals. The result is vertical, 10 seconds, 720p, with its own crowd audio: an extended "Ooooh" from the stadium and audience laughter. It contains no concert music, no performer's voice from the stage, and the screen displays no text, names or brand marks.

The create page displays the exact credit cost on the Generate button before any charge, and each generation produces a unique result.

Two photos or one photo of you two?

  • Two photos provides maximum facial detail for each person. Choose this when you have quality individual selfies. Photo 1 is always the front person, photo 2 is the one who hugs and ducks.
  • One photo of you two is faster: a single image where you're standing side by side. The person on the left takes the front position, the person on the right goes behind. Both faces need to be visible and roughly equal in size.

Who to put in it: the joke lands best with an unexpected pairing. Your closest friend, a family member, your significant other, your mom, a workout partner, or your manager if they're in on it. Many creators post with text like "Either we're having an affair or we're just very shy" or "Me and my bestie at every concert".

To match the trend when posting, add a trending sound from the trend's TikTok videos. Our video includes crowd audio only, never concert music.

Is the Coldplay affair filter real? How to share it kindly

Everything in the clip is AI-generated: the stadium, the screen, the embrace and the reactions come from still images. The original 2025 video features two real individuals whose lives were affected after it went viral, so this template never uses their likenesses, their identities, or the concert recording.

  • Use your own images, or friends who gave permission. Never strangers, celebrities, or children.
  • Never use it to imply a real affair. Don't create one featuring two colleagues, an ex-partner, or a neighbor to spark gossip. Keep it a joke everyone involved understands.
  • Disclose it's AI when posting. Retain the platform's AI disclosure label.

FAQ

Coldplay Kiss Cam trend questions

What is the Coldplay kiss cam meme?
It originated at a Coldplay concert on 16 July 2025, when the kiss cam captured a couple embracing and they hid from view: she covered her face, he ducked, and the performer quipped "Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy." The video became the Coldplay affair meme. In October 2026 it returned as an AI trend where you place yourself and a friend in that scene.
What is the Coldplay affair AI filter?
It's the October 2026 revival of the Coldplay kiss cam: a CapCut AI template that recreates the kiss cam with faces from your photo. The debut video appeared on 15 October 2026 and reached 868,000 views; the most popular hit 2.7 million on 16 October. People refer to it as the Coldplay affair filter, the Coldplay affair AI trend, or the Coldplay AI trend.
How do I make the Coldplay kiss cam AI video?
Click "Create your own", select Two photos or One photo of you two, upload your images and click Generate. Smew AI produces the AI kiss cam video and saves it to your Library. No CapCut template, no software, and no prompt needed.
Is this the CapCut Coldplay affair template?
No. Smew AI is not connected to CapCut, and the Coldplay affair CapCut template is no longer available. This is created by Seedance 2.5 from your images, using a prompt based on the trend's video beats. Unlike the template, it doesn't reuse the original 2025 concert recording.
Is there a Coldplay kiss cam meme generator or template?
This page serves as one: a Coldplay kiss cam meme generator that produces a video, not a static image. It functions as a kiss cam meme generator and a kiss cam meme template for any pair: upload the photos, and the AI kiss cam handles everything. For a Coldplay kiss cam meme template you edit manually, a clip like this is the closest match to the actual moment.
Is there a prompt for the Coldplay affair filter?
No creator or tutorial we found provides one: the template is unavailable. So our prompt is original, built from analyzing the trend's videos frame by frame: the circular screen, the embrace from behind, the shocked expression, the face covering, and the ducking.
Does the video use Coldplay's music or the real couple?
No. The clip contains crowd audio only: an extended "Ooooh" from the stadium and audience laughter, with no concert music and no performer's voice. It never features the actual couple, their identities, or the 2025 recording. Coldplay is simply the trend's name.
Is it a Coldplay CEO meme? Can I use it with my boss?
The original incident became the Coldplay CEO meme and the CEO kiss cam meme, because the man in the concert video was a CEO. Our AI CEO kiss cam is a humorous video of you and your chosen person. You can create it with your manager or a colleague only if they consent and understand it's a joke. Never use it to suggest an actual affair.
Can I make funny kiss cam memes with my friends or my partner?
Yes, that's the concept. The most effective kiss cam memes, including funny ones, feature the most unlikely pair on screen: two close friends, a sibling, a grandparent. Some call it the kiss camera meme. The Coldplay couple meme and the cheating kiss cam meme joke work because everyone knows it's fictional. Kiss cam scandal memes involving actual people are different: stick to people who gave permission.
Can I make a Coldplay kiss cam GIF?
Generate the video here, then convert the opening seconds into a GIF using any GIF converter. A brief loop of the embrace and face covering functions like the popular Coldplay affair GIF, the Coldplay couple GIF, or a kiss cam meme GIF.
Is there a kiss cam app?
No app necessary: it operates online, in your browser. Upload your images, and the AI kiss filter places you both on a concert jumbotron. It's not a live camera effect or a Snapchat lens, but you can share the finished video anywhere.
Is the AI kiss cam on TikTok?
Yes. The kiss cam trend exists on TikTok, where Coldplay affair AI video content uses the hashtags #coldplayaffairfilter, #coldplayaffair, and #coldplaykisscam. People also call it a jumbotron AI trend or a concert big screen filter. Create your video here and share it on TikTok with a trending audio.
Can I use a pet in the video?
Only as a playful addition. If photo 2 contains your dog or cat, the prompt instructs the AI to make it rise on its back legs and embrace you from behind. It's designed for two people, so a pet may appear less accurate.
Does the Coldplay kiss cam AI video cost credits?
Yes. It's a 10-second AI video, so it requires credits. The create page shows the exact credit cost on the Generate button before any charge, and if a generation fails, the credits are returned.
Is my photo private?
Yes. Smew AI doesn't publish your images or the finished video anywhere or display them to other users. The result saves to your private Library, and you can remove it there anytime.
